“My Kids Are Obsessed With This Recipe”
I make this every 2 weeks and we get about 3 smaller loaves or you can do 2 big loaves.
I’m tryin to get my kids to eat my wheat bread which I make as well for the hubby and I but they can be picky pains lol.
I’m just happy that there not eating store bought bread anymore that has over 20 ingredients in it. No thanks!
Did you know that store bought bread is stripped of all its nutrients?
Recipe came from amandascookin.com

Let’s Get Started-
Ingredients:
1 1/2 tbsp active dry yeast (or 2 packets)
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 tsp sugar
2 cups hot water
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt
1/2 cup olive oil
5-6 cups bread flour
1 egg for egg wash before baking
Cookie sheet or bread pans
Instructions:
Dissolve yeast, 1/2 cup water and 1/2 tsp sugar in a small bowl.
In a large mixer bowl, combine 2 cups hot water, 3 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp salt, and 1/2 cup olive oil.
Add 3 cups of flour and mix well and then stir in yeast mixture.
Add 2-3 more cups of flour until well blended (dough will be sticky) Leave in bowl, cover with towel and let rise for 1 hour.
After the rise, add more flour if it’s too sticky.
Divide dough into 2 or 3 loaves.
I personally love this recipe in my bread pans but you can also put it on a greased cookie sheet, sealed side down, Rick ends under. Slash the top diagonally with a sharp knife.
Cover and let the loaves rise 30 more minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
Whisk a egg and brush over the loaves for a shiny crispy look.
Bake for 25- 30 minutes or until golden brown.
I hope you love this recipe as much as our family does.
Don’t forget to read my other blogs as well and leave me some love.
Thank you!
xoxo Tina
